A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Had the most wonderful birthday celebration at Amano Shangri-La Plaza! From start to finish, everything felt thoughtfully curated and special. A big shoutout to Sir Roniel for the fantastic butler service — attentive, warm, and truly professional. He made our dining experience seamless and memorable. The authentic Alfredo was absolutely amazing — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The salted tiramisu was a delightful surprise and a must-try! We paired everything with equally good cocktails, making the celebration even more festive. Highly recommended for special occasions or whenever you’re craving excellent Italian cuisine and top-tier service. Will definitely be back!"
"Pasta Arabiatta was so good, super authentic! Loved the buratta soft serve in pistachio too. Seafood soup was also very good. The pork cutlet was just ok, perhaps priced too high. I think their highlights will be the pasta and pizza. Our server Niel was really attentive and helpful!"
"Topnotch service! Sir Wawee was attentive and super good vibes throughout our diner. Food was great we had pollo al burro, fruitti di mare, zuppa di funghi and pistachio waffle. 3rd time here and amano shang never fails!"
"The pizza tasted okay, but the bottom of the crust seemed a bit burnt. My partner ate the noodles and said they tasted like cheap noodles, but I asked and they said they were freshly made, which was fine, but they just felt more like Asian noodles. The staff were excellent, the service was great, I really appreciate that. We even got a free dessert! Overall, I was impressed and will try other menu items if I have the chance."
"Boy where do I start with this one. I would say that that was the perfect dinner service. Amazing food, great and attentive service, beautiful decor and furnishings. We had the mozzarella balls and truffle cheese fondue for starters. The balls were good, nothing to shout about but the fondue on the other hand had actual truffle shavings (none of that gasoline smelling/tasting oils) and was great if paired with the given assortment of bread. Not too overpowering but just cheesy and truffle-y enough to be moreish. For mains we had the spicy salami pizza, octopus and marrow risotto, ricotta and spinach ravioli, and spicy vodka fusilli. The pizza and risotto were amazing. You can also ask for hot honey to elevate your pizza even more. Just hope that there was a bit more salami on the pizza but not an issue (this is me nitpicking). The risotto on the other hand was a flavour explosion in your mouth. I would come back just for this. With octopus bits and the umami bomb from the marrow, just sublime. The fusilli was also amazing. Just spicy enough to give some heat but not too spicy to kill the flavour of the sauce. I would say the weakest of the night was the ravioli. It was good and the fillings were generous but it felt one dimensional in taste compared to the rest of the dishes we had. For dessert, we had the burrata ice cream with olive oil. I thought the risotto was the highlight of my night but it changed when I tried this ice cream. I'm not exaggerating when I say this ice cream changed my life and perception of what can be an ice cream. Who knew that savoury ice cream doused in olive oil would be amazing. The service was impeccable. My girlfriend came late and we swapped seats. One of the servers noticed and swapped our glasses. And this same server always made sure that we had a full glass of water. He also checked on us a few times to make sure everything was okay. If those doesn't shout attentive then I don't know what does (shout out to Kuya Wawee). The other servers were also extremely friendly and accommodating. Kuya Edmar was always smiling and did not deny our "multitude" of requests (our food could not fit in the table so we had to ask to downsize some of the plates halfway through them). Ate Rizza was also always there to ask if everything was good and if the food was good. Yes Ate Rizza, I'm sorry if I couldn't speak properly to answer you because I was busy stuffing my mouth with your delicious food. And the cherry on top of all that is the open kitchen concept. You were able to see the chefs preparing your food right in front of you. Makes your mouth water while you watch them so watch at your own risk. All in all, this restaurant is one of our favourites now and definitely definitely will be back again."
"Though I'm not a pizza lover, I loved eating Amano's pizza. Aside from that, we loved everything we ordered. If I had to choose, the Ravioli would be my least favorite and the Shakerato coffee and Ricotta cheesecake would be at the top of my list. All the servers were very friendly and accommodating, but Roniel stood out. He was our assigned server that night. He did a really good job. Thanks, Roniel!"
"It was our first time dining at this restaurant, and we tried several dishes and wow, it exceeded our expectations. The salad looked simple, but the flavor was surprisingly delicious. We also had the meatballs, cheese platter, pastas, and pizza, and everything was excellent! What made the experience even better was the service. 100% top-notch. Special thanks to King, our server, for the superb hospitality! We’ll definitely be coming back to this branch. Thank you as well for the ice cream!! it was the best!"
"A Mano has been a consistent standout for me - every meal, from appetizers to pizza, pasta, and even coffee, has been exceptional. The service is top-notch too, making it a go-to spot for Italian food. Can't recommend enough!"
